He has previously served as an army medic and medical corp. officer in the New Mexico National Guard and was an assistant professor of medicine at the University of New Mexico prior to joining Zia Diagnostic Imaging. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his family and enjoying the beautiful New Mexico outdoors.

Since his son fledged, Dr. Barron is dad to five dogs, three of which are rescues, and seven motorcycles (one for each day of the week?)

- About Dr. Bordegaray was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is happy to return to his hometown after completing medical training in Miami, Florida. Dr. Bordegaray is board certified in Interventional Radiology / Diagnostic Radiology. His professional interests include minimally invasive medical procedures done through a tiny incision to treat a wide range of diseases including those of the arteries and veins, fibroids of the uterus and cancers of the liver, kidneys and lungs. He is also enthusiastic to treat men suffering from symptoms of an enlarged prostate with a minimally invasive outpatient procedure called prostate artery embolization. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, snowboarding and mountain biking.

- About Dr Giesbrandt is board certified in Interventional Radiology/Diagnostic radiology and specializes in minimally invasive image guided procedures treating stroke, blood clots, cancer, fibroids, pain, vascular disease, and vertebral fractures. In diagnostic radiology he specializes imaging of the cardiovascular system. He holds the Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) distinction as well as certificates of proficiency from the American College of Radiology in Coronary CTA, Cardiac MRI, and Neuroradiology. He is currently the Medical Director of the Vascular Laboratory at Lovelace Medical Center and Director of Cardiac MRI. He has presented at many national and international meetings, published multiple papers, and written textbook chapters on Interventional Radiology and Cardiovascular Imaging. In his downtime he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, golf, snowboarding and surfing.

- About Dr. Hebert is a fellowship-trained musculoskeletal radiologist with specific interest in imaging-guided procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the spine, joints, and soft tissues. He moved to Albuquerque after his wife, Shamarie Sais, and he completed their fellowship training in Wisconsin. Dr. Hebert has been with ZDI since 2010. Dr. Sais has her own Urogynecology practice in Nob Hill. They have since welcomed 6 children into their life and keep busy with soccer, skiing, baseball, basketball, robotics, and chess team. Dr. Hebert is so glad to be practicing medicine in The Land of Enchantment with all the patients, sunshine and beautiful landscapes New Mexico provides.

Dr. Meyer has a special interest in women at elevated risk for breast cancer including those with dense breast tissue and has presented at national radiology meetings. - About Dr. Miller has practiced in all areas of diagnostic radiology and has a special interest in breast imaging. He is excited to be part of the Zia Diagnostic Imaging team as a dedicated breast imaging radiologist. Dr. Miller began his breast imaging career at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer in New York, New York in 2005. He completed his fellowship in Breast and Body Imaging early at Memorial Sloan-Kettering and accepted a position as instructor for over a year thereafter. As his family grew, he traded big city life for more open spaces. He is dedicated to providing the people of New Mexico with excellent breast care. Dr. Miller has presented at the Radiological Society of North America’s annual meetings, presented and instructed for multiple conferences to facilitate continuing education for breast imaging, and been nominated multiple years by his peers for Albuquerque’s Top Docs award. Dr. Miller is certified by the American Board of Radiology and is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, and the Society of Breast Imaging. Dr. Miller has a passion for technology, knowledge, and excellence. He is always searching for ways to improve patient care and provide patients with the best experience possible. When not working, Dr. Miller enjoys spending time with his family and traveling.

She moved to Albuquerque with her husband, two young children, and cat in 2022 following wanderlust and seeking a land of natural beauty. Growing up in a Navy family, Dr. Soroka has traveled extensively and lived in Australia, Japan, and Hong Kong. She enjoys cultural exchange, language and etymology, and the outdoors.
